Another type of stretch mark is caused by a medical condition called Cushing’s disease. Cushing’s disease causes the body to overproduce cotisol, a human hormone. Having such an excessive amount of this hormone produces all types of ill affects on the body. One of those affects is stretch marks.

In fact, other affects of the disease can also cause stretch marks themselves. Obesity and weight gain are also symptoms of Cushing’s disease. These symptoms alone can cause stretch marks to form with or without the disease.
